The Cactus in the Garage.
What sounds like a black-and-white still life turns out to be a thrillingly colorful soul jazz experience. With the organ at the center of the band, the four young musicians bring their sound into the present day with original compositions. They swing, revel, and sweat their way through an energetic, groove-oriented performance that gets both intellect and emotion dancing.
They draw inspiration for their music from artists such as Larry Goldings, John Scofield, and Joshua Redman.
With a dangerously smooth hip swing in tow, they’re now taking their sound—born in a garage full of old Cadillacs—to clubs around the world.
Cactus in a Garage are:
-
Lorenz Knauft (saxophone/flute)
-
Joel Podolski (guitar)
-
Konrad Buschhüter (organ)
-
Lucas Rauch (drums)
